Yoga Life

Over the last nine months of change, my focus has been on providing you with consistency.
That's looked like--daily morning coffee sessions; daily yoga classes (no matter what); book clubs; lectures; series; workshops; and building an online platform.
No one could accuse us of not putting our all into keeping Shine going! But, it hasn't ever felt like enough, and that's because it has been scattered. Reactive. I've seen a need and tried to fill it. It felt most important to be immediate, rather than systematic.
I know from my own experience of dealing with crisis, fear, and change, that what creates contentment is habit and consistency. Twenty-four years of doing and studying yoga has taught me that.
Over the last nine months I've gone again and again to my yoga tools to make my daily life consistent and habitual. That has included reflection, meditation, the daily physical yoga practice, and pranayama ( focus on the breath) everyday.
The habit of these practices is what has kept me steady and given me the energy to keep Shine going within the turbulence.
As we returned to quarantine a few weeks ago, I realized that I needed to give you these same tools and to give them to you in a systematic way--a framework of daily habits that will give you the steadiness and energy to live the life you want no matter the circumstances.
And so, YogaLife was born.
It consists of three programs:
The Jumpstart: This is where Shine came from. I created this program for myself when I was stuck and afraid. It worked and it changed my life. I decided to open Shine Yoga so I could share this program with other people in a concrete way.
The Customized Jumpstart : This is a personalized, tailored program. It includes morning and evening customized yoga and meditation, weekly one-on-one coaching, and weekly lectures on the specific area of the module you choose.
Reflect involves daily reading and reflection based on the 8 Limbs of Yoga, a weekly discussion group, and a monthly yoga philosophy talk and reflection.
