Yoga Day

Our beautiful space is the perfect place for a mini-retreat.

Once a month, on a Friday, we will take time to settle into ourselves.

Every Yoga Day will follow this basic schedule

  • 6:30 am Moving Meditation Yoga Class

  • Guided meditation and journaling

  • 8:30 am Silent breakfast ( provided) and guided eating meditation

  • 9:30 am Sharing Circle

  • 10:30 am Nature Walk, Walking Meditation, or Kundalini Flow Yoga Class

  • Noon Lunch (provided)

  • 2 pm special project

  • 4 pm Restorative Yoga Class with Singing Bowls

  • 6 pm closing

September 8th
Doors open at 6am.

Day ends at 6:30pm.

Meet Your Guide

Hi there, I’m Sara and I’m the founder of Shine. I designed yoga day because retreats have given me space and time to recharge throughout my life and because students keep telling me they just want to stay at Shine all day!

This program is meant to bring you quiet, peace, and the ability to settle.

It’s also designed to help you connect with yourself and with the other people on the retreat.

Very few people have the luxury to go away on a retreat, but I’ve found that often all we need is a day without the pull of our world to give us the space and energy to be who we most want to be.

You deserve this day.

  • Sara opened Shine’s doors as a means of helping other people who had gone through a life changing experience physically, mentally or emotionally to find joy and steadiness again. This has always been her mission and still is, eight years later.

    Sara is known for her deeply focused alignment and anatomy-based classes (The Details), her restorative classes, and her flow classes (Flow to Rest, Intentional Vinyasa)

    She is a Certified Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist and has eight years experience helping individuals better understand their bodies and heal through private sessions.  

    Sara also taps into her experience as a professional writer, researcher, and federal behavioral health program developer to design trainings, workshops, and programs. Her work as a teacher at the University-level has helped to make her Yoga Teacher Training program exceptional.

    Sara is certified through Kripalu, Dr. Ray Long, Jason Crandell, Yoga Medicine, and Katherine Templeton.
