Veggie Miso Smoothie

On heavy rotation in my diet and in every one of our seasonal jumpstarts.

Why? It’s full of fiber, probiotics, and protein, it includes 5+ of my anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory Daily Eats. It’s also easily digestible and the miso helps to balance salts.

Plus it tastes like gazpacho and takes 5 minutes to make.

Veggie Miso

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 apple

  • 1 cup cilantro

  • 1 cup parsley

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1 red, yellow, or orange bell pepper

  • 1 whole lemon without peel or 1/2 cup lime juice (If too bitter for your taste or you don’t have a high-speed blender, juice lemon)

  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup miso Pinch of cayenne

  • 1 teaspoon spiralina powder (a green algae) 1 teaspoon corella powder (a green algae)

  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder (green tea)

  • Filtered water

  • 1-2 teaspoons white miso paste

This serves 2. You can leave out the green mixes and matcha if it's too much! Your Super.com's matcha powder, which also contains powdered super greens is a great substitute for the last two ingredients.

I also love to add in a little jalapeno in place of the cayenne and more herbs if I have them, as many as you like.
